Baby in Bumbo

Recently we bought Luqman a Bumbo seat. Always wanted it since I was pregnant. I saw a friend of mine Iqin using it for her son. It was love at first sight! And I definitely recommend everyone to get one for their own baby. I think it's most suitable for babies age 4 months and above.

The shape of the bumbo seat is so adorable, I love seeing the bottom part of it, because it looks like a baby elephant's butt. Which so happens to be the concept I think, since the logo itself is of a baby elephant. Come to think of it, the name BUMBO, bum would be butt, and bo would be Jumbo, a name which is quite commonly used for elephants for its huge 'jumbo' size.

The material isn't hard plastic, it's squeezable, but hard and sturdy enough for baby to sit in comfortably. But as the warning says, it's not meant to be placed on elevated areas such as tables. Regardless, I do put him on the table, far from the edge, when I'm sitting next to him of course. And putting him in this seat is no excuse for me to leave him unattended, even on the ground, the possibility of him toppling off is there if he moves around to much. So, just as long as you're close by, leaving him in this seat is perfectly fine.

He watches the tv and computer when I play some baby songs on YouTube. I don't do this often though, too much screen time is not good for the baby in the future, because when kids are exposed to too much tv, they tend to get easily bored in class since they are so used to bright colored, fast paced scenes. I read this in some parenting magazine a while ago. I prefer talking and playing with him, facing him front to front. I believe that the best entertainment and good for development is interaction with the parents. Beats all the toys in the world.

This baby seat comes in a variety of colors. The one I bought is AQUA. It also comes with a play tray set, but from what my friend said, it was a complete waste since she doesn't really use it. I'm sure you can get them cheaper through online stores. But being the impatient me, I had to get it right there and then. That's the excited mom I am.
